Skyview Assembly of God was set into order in 1950, at the corner of W. 42nd St. and Everett, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, by Founding Pastor, Lawrence Reed. After serving there for more than 20 years, he left that pastorate; which was filled by Pastor Lawrence Lewis, followed by Pastor Warren Harkins.
Later, Benny Ferguson accepted that position, and it was under his leadership, in 1982, that the new building was built (at 401 W. 41st St.) and the name changed to Prattwood Assembly. When he and his family left there, Ken Moberly became pastor.
In September of 1986, Pastor Steve and Sue Bookout accepted the call of God to Prattwood. Since that time, they have served faithfully, consistently committing themselves to God, the congregation, and surrounding community.
In spring of 1999, Pastor Al Hert joined the staff as Associate Pastor. He and Pastor Bookout had worked together as part of a ministry team in previous years and felt God confirm to their hearts that he had brought them together again for strength and encouragement.
We have been enjoying a season of growth and expansion and invite you to experience the excitement of God's present visitation with us. We look back with gratitude to His faithfulness and ahead to the full completion of His purpose for Prattwood and we approach the advent of Christ's coming.
